About Daisy Daisy
Unique documentary wedding photography in Oxfordshire
Your wedding captured in a beautiful and informal style
My name is Ian Allenden and I'll be the guy pressing the camera shutter button on your big day. I've been involved with photography in one form or another for most of my working life, but have been shooting weddings under the Daisy Daisy brand (my daughter's favourite song at the time) for about ten years.
Why wedding photography is important to me
I'm passionate about photography and remain in awe of how a little box with a hole in the middle can capture so much - be it a time, a place or an emotion. In an age where we seem to take more pictures than ever, but do less with them, my photographic mission statement is to get more images off phones, cloud storage, memory cards and out of neglected "Photos" folders on your computer and get them published. I don't care if it's a photobook, a lovely canvas print for your front room, a jigsaw or a tea towel - pictures need to be seen. My children love looking through their grandparents old photo albums - it brings their family history to life in a way that no digital device ever could.
I live in Watlington, Oxfordshire (smallest town in England pub trivia fans) with my wonderful wife and our two beautiful daughters.
When I'm not taking pictures I enjoy (in no particular order of importance) running, Gretsch drums, Barcelona, take off and landing, The Foo Fighters, Alfa Romeos, Norman Parkinson's portraits, Scandi crime box sets, the novels of Kate Atkinson, good coffee and comfortable shoes.
